Here are the links to the Contenders for the Democratic nomination of 2004

For this list I'm being pragmatic about the pros and cons.

Howard Dean:

Pro- Fmr. Vermont Governor has provided health care for most of it's citizens, balanced the budget and energized the Democratic base but his policies have been more Center than left.

Cons- Foot in mouth syndrome he talks maybe too much and the media will be there like rabid hungry dogs, remember the Gore "reinventing himself"?

Gen. Wesley Clark:

Pro- Heroic military career, proven leadership & diplomatic skills, very smart.

Cons- Vague on domestic policies, seen as a sleeper agent of the Clinton's especially of Hillary's.

John Edwards:

Pro- Southern Boy, rising star in the party appealing to Moderates.

Cons- Boring, pro-Iraq war, Seen as passive

Dick Gephardt:

Pro- Multi-term Congressman, big friend to Unions, mainstay for Democrats in Congress.

Cons- Seen as the problem with the party spine less, pathetic, pandering.

John Kerry:

Pro- Popular senator, war hero, well liked by the party.

Cons- Boring, seems to encompass an aura of Herbert Humphrey waiting the for the Nod!

Dennis Kucinich:

Pro- Knows where he stands, very good politician when needed to be, seems decent.

Cons- Crazy socialist vegan peacenick wacko, maybe too far left for America.

Joe Lieberman:

Pro- Moderate, looks good on paper to a conservative to middle voter.

Cons- Republican light, lame, voice sounds like a stomach ache, bowel movements have more heat than this guy.

Carol Moseley-Braun:

Pro- Minority voters will like her in the general election and a few primaries in the south, seems smarter than some of the guys she's running against.

Cons- She's a black woman in a perfect world that shouldn't matter at all but welcome to 2003. Very left on Abortion rights. Lacks international experience wanted for the job ( She was an Ambassador but she wouldn't bomb people for the hell of it...hence lack of experience).

Al Sharpton:

Pro- Entertaining, fighter.

Cons- A certain rape case in the 80's, very unprepared for the job.

Sorry about the lack of posts this week but I have been all over.

Monday: Santa Barbara, This was a suprise to me I wasn't expecting to go anywhere but a frantic family member woke me I had 10 minutes to get ready to go to. I work at night so I have to sleep during the day and I just feel asleep at 7:00 am-rattled awake 8:34- left at 8:44 am. and the kick; we stayed for 19 minutes well I live over 150 miles away from there and it took 2 hours to get there only to leave in under 20 minutes.

Tuesday: Atascadero: We live about 15 miles from the city we get perscriptions at so we spent an entire day in A town because they screwed up.

WEDNSDAY: Fresno: a trip to the Childrens hospital more driving usually I have to be in Fresno once a month and it's always a pain in the @$$.

Thursday: More all day medicine trip because the pharmacy is retarded.

Friday: I hope I can sleep a little, God forbid I end up going to some sh*t hole like Bakersfield or Brainson!

Still on the Clark watch will post my full thoughts after giving him a chance. I also watched and recorded the other candidates too, I've watched about 28 hours of C-Span, way too much for the average man. I will give my opinions of the 9 tomorrow night if I'm not in Boise of course!

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A45891-2003Dec8?language=printer

The same group of people who scrubbed voter rolls in Florida are saying the Russian elections aren't fair.

Putin has cracked down on Indymedia (So has Bush) We have state run Media (Fox) and Republicans control all three lbranches of government.

Take back our country please.

Reading through Jim Hightower's new work is taking rather long it's not as good as I thought it would be and we disagree on a few points.

Please vote, I know I when I reveled I was a Nader voter I was blamed for Gore's loss in 2000 but remember

1. It was Al Gore's to lose, Donna Brasil is not my first choice for campaign manager and his nigh identical positions to Dubya were the perverbial nails in his coffin lid.

2. GW stole the election anyways, a large chunk of the scrubbed voters were black Democrats.

The two reasons he lost, not Nader.

I'm still glad I'm an Independant and here's why to quote myself.

"It doesn't matter what side of the isle you sit on in the small yellow school bus, the point is you're IN the small yellow school bus!"

If you're unfamiliar with the metaphor the small yellow school bus was the bus the "Special" kids rode on, so basically I'm calling them retarded...I don't really think most are, most people want to identify with a group of people they relate to; or seem to think they relate to. I could say it's no diffrent in regards to me being an Independant; the so called too cool for school so this could be some rebel complex I have but I doubt it.
That's enough for now.

Michael Reagan said this yesterday on H&C "Showtime will buy anything!" *cough* DC 9/11 *cough*

Some e-mails i've received over the last week blasted my stance on Westly Clark, and to sum them all up they ask I go in depth: watch his town meetings, interviews, read his books and so forth.

So I will however I think I'm right about this but I will give him a chance... the others I really hope Kerry, Edwards, Gephardt, Lieberman aren't the nominees.... they don't have a chance in hell and I would rather not vote or vote third party than for the same old BS in the white house so please for my sake vote for a real candidate.

I hope Dean will be the nominee so here is my run down of a winning ticket, Best to worse.

Dean-Clark: with a strong domestic policy and foreign policy in place it could play very well, especially in the south were the support for the war is heavy.

Dean-H.Clinton: This just slightly falls the latter because she really doesn't have the clout with Swing voters or southern voters. Besides Dean had better wear a flak jacket because you know if this ticket wins someone will gun him down so She can be president, more than likely it will be some loser right winger trying to establish some great Conspiracy from the Clintons, stupid Right Wingers.

Dean-Edwards: This might help carry the Guns, god, Nascar states because some people really believe that the "real America" is the south. Edwards is an attractive candidate as VP he can stay involved in the senate which legislatively would be a good choice about the other two.

Gephardt would be eaten alive by Karl Rove!

If Liberman was the nominee (god forbid) I have a line for George W. Bush "Senator, our policies are not all that different... your voting record has been very good to us, it boils down to small differences in spending and taxes... why should anyone vote for the slightly more liberal version of George W. Bush? You seem to think we're doing a darn good job!"

I haven't chosen a horse for 2004 but definitely not Bush.

If anyone cares were I've been for the last week and a half, simple answer I went to Riverside, CA to help my grandmother while she was in the hospital and literally been sleeping two hours everyday and my insomnia is kicking back in so I'll probably end the week without a single wink of sleep!

To keep myself busy I have a PS2 and I just received the new Jim Hightower book: 'Thieves in high places' from Salon.com which was my free gift for signing up that day Salon is worth it's weight in Gold* Which I highly recommend you spending $35 bucks on and my Bass & blog.... sad.

Also while I was down south I verified I was Jewish and to date I am a Black, Native American, Irish, German, English, Jew with ethnicity in no particular order. It's weird I have such a diverse background I might be only a 1/16 black but legally I can claim it as my ethnicity... identify more with the Indian
because of my dark skin and the fact I am more Indian than anything else... but in the end I'm an American.

* Web sites are weight less but if you missed the point or really hung up on the "science" of the matter... get a girlfriend/boyfriend find better ways to spend your time!
